Jen has been the Director of Summit County Preschool since July 2024. She moved to Summit County from Crested Butte where she worked at a preschool for 17 years, 8 of which as their Director. She is excited to be a part of the Summit County community and to continue to provide high quality care and education to the young children of Summit. Jen loves spending time outdoors, and especially likes skiing, biking, camping and playing golf with her husband.

Demetria Bratz is our Assistant Director. She is a mother of three, a hard worker with a positive and playful spirit. Demetria is goal-oriented and great with people. She is a passionate and dedicated caregiver with many years of experience working with kids and leading teams. Demetria is Director certified. Quality time with her family is the most important.

Josselin has worked at SCP since June 2022. She helps in many different areas of our school, especially with meal planning, prep and ordering food for the kids. She is also our Spanish family liaison and leads our parent involvement program. Josselin is Director certified. In her free time she loves to travel with friends and family.

Ms. Ann McWeeney has an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Natural Resources from the State University of New York in Cobleskill. She also has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Colorado Mountain College. Ann has worked at SCP since 2007, most of her years have been in the baby room.

Lea Lopez is the lead in the One year old classroom. She was born in Leadville, CO. Her family came from New Mexico when her dad started to work at Climax Mine. Lea has 4 sons 💙and 8 grand children. Family is everything to her.

Miss Mariana was raised in Summit County & recently moved back after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from the University of Northern Colorado. Before moving back she worked as a Registered Behavior Technician and wanted to continue working with children to become a positive impact in their lives! Mariana has worked at SCP in the Mixed Toddler classroom since September 2023

Miss Madison is our Two's Lead Teacher. She has lived in Summit County for almost 6 years after moving here from Kentucky. On her off time she likes to play with her 3 sons who all attend SCP. She likes to paddleboard, and travel.

Ms. Katerin Ortega is a graduate of Summit High School. She is currently taking classes at Colorado Mountain College. Katerin has worked at SCP since June 2020. She loves working with the 3 and 4 year classroom and watching them grow and learn every day!

Miss Dylan has been working at SCP since Nov. 2024. She began as the assistant teacher in the Pre-K class and moved up to the lead at the start of the 2025 school year. Dylan is originally from S.C and has lived in CO. for almost 3 years now. She loves to ski, bake and travel.

Doris is our full time Chef. She cooks 3 healthy meals a day for our children and teachers. She brings years of cooking and cleaning experience to our center.
